Does your conservatory get too hot during the Summer and too cold during the Winter?

"We are very lucky to live in a beautiful house on the river Thames. However, our conservatory used to be a place we rarely ventured, as in summer it became unbearably hot and in winter it was freezing cold.

We saw an advertisement from Econergy Systems in Amateur Gardening and sent off for more information. Peter Taylor contacted us and arranged a mutually beneficial time to visit our property and provide a free quotation.

During his visit Peter demonstrated to us this simple but effective product designed specifically to address the problem we had. A basic demonstration using scale models of two conservatories, one treated the other not, and the placement of a thermometer in each, proved to us that the product worked. The Solar Shield reflects around 80% of the sun's heat, whilst remaining see-through and controlling the glare.

Within three weeks the Solar System had been installed and the difference was amazing! The summer temperature reduction was more dramatic than we had hoped. I love reading in my conservatory, but before installation I found it almost impossible to sit in the baking heat. Now I can happily curl up with a good book in my favourite seat without feeling uncomfortable.

As a keen gardener, I used to be worried about leaving my plants in teh conservatory during a hot or cold spell. These days I don't worry about my plants as the Solar Shield system as in winter, we have been able to turn off TWO of the four radiators in our conservatory.

We originally considered purchasing roof blinds even though some neighbours had installed such blinds with only limited success. We're so pleased we chose Econergy instead as we have saved a cosiderable sum and the system is maintenance free.
