Around one in five holidaymakers now opt for a holiday rental and they are the second most popular type of accommodation after hotels according to research from HomeAway.co.uk. Discerning holidaymakers searching for quality, but at a good price increasingly appreciate the space, value and amenities holiday homes provide.

Properties advertised on HomeAway.co.uk are rented out on average 15 weeks per year, generating income of £10,000 or more. More than half of all owners advertising on the website partially cover their costs with holiday rentals and a third cover them all.
